The Taunton Whist Club held its 16th game of the 2017 season
in the Military Whist (team format) on Thursday Sept 28th.
Winning team was the team of Steve Karol, Joan Proulx, Joanne Ianniello Bishop and Jerry Bishop winning with 128 points.
Also on Sept 28th members of the Taunton Whist Club were treated to a special dinner party co-hosted by Taunton School Committee Candidate Carol A. Doherty and City Council Candidate Jeanne Quinn

Bridgewater COA Military Whist Sept. 30th

Tonight I had the pleasure of directing Military Whist Game at the Bridgewater COA..Organized by my mother Arlene Gouveia and my cousin Dave Gonsalves.. Winning team was the team of Roger & Joan Proulx and Lee & Dennis Brienzo with 116 points.

Killdeer Island Club Whist Party Oct. 1st

On Sunday October 1st, I had the privilege of directing the Killdeer Island Annual Public Whist Party. The historic Killdeer Island event has been a long time fundraiser for the Killdeer Island Club since the 1940's. Back in 2016, I was informed that long time game organizer and director Ruth Lavigne had passed away. I was contacted shortly after and was asked by the club if I could direct and run the whist game and continue the long standing tradition because nobody in the organization knew how to direct the whist game… I said yes in 2016 and once again this year... So on Sunday, members of my Taunton Whist Club made the trip to Lake Char­gogg­a­gogg­man­chaugg­a­gogg­chau­bun­a­gung­a­maugg…Member's were treated to the usually lunch of homemade soups and sandwiches prepared by club members.. Winners of the event receive money prize for top score for the men and top score for the women.. Winners of the event were Pat Nickerson of Taunton, MA and Curt Sirrine of Putnam, Conn
