On April 12th 2018 the Taunton Whist Club held their Annual Awards Banquet.
Members of the club were presented award jackets and mugs by Mayor Tom Hoye and Rosemary K Heath... Steve Karol of Taunton was crowned season champion of the 2017 season..
The Taunton Whist Club which was founded in 2007 and is the only Whist Club in the country playing Whist in the original club style format dating back to 1891 under the rules of the former American Whist League.. The Taunton Whist Club is a teaching club dedicated to the preservation of the classic card game that dates back to the 1500's.
